Motion Healthcare Aerolite Folding Powerchair

SALE! WAS £2,250, NOW £1,950. Weighing just 22 kg, the Aerolite is one of the lightest powered wheelchairs in our range. Featuring an easy-fold mechanism and air-safe Lithium batteries, it is the ideal travel companion.

Product Description

Motion Healthcare are known for their range of ultra-light travel powerchairs, the Motion Healthcare Aerolite Folding Powerchair is their lightest model. It weighs just 22 kg, or 19.5 kg with the battery removed, making it possible for a single person to lift it into and out of a car with ease. The Aerolite's folding mechanism requires a simple pull or push to fold or unfold your powerchair.

Compact and manoeuvrable, the Aerolite also features flip-up armrests for side transfers, and a tension-adjusting backrest to enhance your comfort.

The small size of the Aerolite's wheels, and its lack of suspension, means we would only recommend it for indoor use - whether that be about the house or in shopping centres. It is sometimes used on pavements, but this tends to be for short shopping trips such as down a high street.

The maximum user weight is 18 stone, but realistically those close to the weight capacity will find the performance further reduced.

Our Verdict

If you want a basic powered wheelchair to travel with regularly, and will only be using it for shorter periods of time, the Aerolite is the ideal product.

If you are looking for higher levels of comfort we would suggest considering the Foldalite, Foldalite Pro or Pride's iGo Plus. Additionally, the eFoldi Powerchair and Q50 R Carbon are both even lighter, and have improved outdoor performance, albeit at a higher price point.
