In 2007, Giles Donald launched Wheelfreedom to improve the lives of the elderly and individuals with physical conditions after experiencing difficulties with sourcing a quality wheelchair for a relative. Motivated to pioneer a change in the mobility industry, we partnered with leading manufacturers specialising in mobility equipment and brought together a team of experts in posture, seating, rehabilitation and neurophysiology. We have since supplied over 40,000 wheelchairs, mobility scooters, powerchairs and other specialised mobility equipment to members of the public and health sector. For a quick mobility solution, we offer next-day delivery for wheelchair and rollator hires placed before 3 pm.

From our Chessington HQ, we operate in London and the South East, providing wheelchairs, mobility scooters, powerchairs, rollators, rise and recline chairs, beds, stairlifts and more, with a range of solutions for many of our products including short and long-term hire, purchase and the Motability scheme.
Our showroom is stocked with a vast range of products to try out to determine the best product for your comfort and lifestyle. If you are unable to travel to our Chessington showroom, we offer home assessments which allow you to try different products in the comfort of your home. Depending on your mobility goals and health, the team will arrange a suitable assessor for your needs. We have non-clinical assessors to assist you if you are looking for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, rollators or other mobility equipment. Patients with complex postural needs will be assisted by our clinical and prescriptive assessors who will provide a deeper analysis of your mobility, physique and health condition. Our clinical and prescriptive team will be able to assist you with specialised seating equipment and mobility aids with complex technology.
We also operate a nationwide manual wheelchair hire service, providing foldable wheelchairs and rollators for next-day delivery across mainland Britain. We pioneered the first national wheelchair hire service, and continue to provide the only all-inclusive hire service to this day.
As we value trustworthiness and impartiality, we do not sell or hire any of our products online because the ideal mobility product for you can differ depending on your health condition and lifestyle goals. By speaking with a member of the team, either over the phone or in person at our showroom, you will be able to make an informed decision and receive a product suitable to your unique needs.
Arranging an assessment with the team allows us to assist you during your visit to our Chessington showroom. An assessor will be able to guide you through the range of suitable products and provide product demonstrations for you to try the products yourself. This allows you to fully explore your options whilst receiving expert advice.
