RGK Veypr Sub4 Wheelchair

The Veypr Sub4 is an exceptionally lightweight, carbon fibre, rigid wheelchair which can be made to measure to suit your posture, comfort and performance requirements.

Product Description

Due to its carbon fibre construction, the Veypr Sub4 is an exceptionally lightweight active wheelchair, providing ease of manoeuvrability and transport for users. The carbon fibre frame offers an optimal strength-to-weight ratio, making the Veypr Sub4 an incredibly robust and durable wheelchair.

The Veypr Sub4 is a rigid wheelchair that does not fold. It's engineered with precision, utilizing a signature carbon fibre herringbone weave pattern for enhanced strength and performance.

It is custom-made to measure, providing users with a personalized fit for optimal posture, optimal comfort and maximum performance. This includes ergonomic seat options for optimal seating positions, seat tapers for unrivalled comfort and support as well as configurations to suit the rider's individual needs ensuring the perfect fit.

In terms of portability, it's important to note that the heaviest part is a truly outstanding 3kg, in fact RGK guarantee that the Veypr Sub4 will weigh less than 4kg (minus wheels and cushion) transport weight, when configured with Sub4 certified options. This light weight makes everyday travel that much easier with the Veypr Sub4. It may rise to 12kg depending on additional options, excluding third party wheelchair add-ons. With wheels, the total weight of the wheelchair is 5kg rising to a maximum of 15kg, again depending in additional options but not including third party add-ons.

Slimline and compact the Veypr Sub4 has a beautiful aesthetic. Pick your own decal colour, choose from a satin or gloss finish or even add your own personal text or logo.

Our Verdict

Built for everyday adventures, the RGK Veypr Sub4 Wheelchair combines the incredible benefits of made to measure with the ultra-light-weight benefits of carbon fibre. It's an incredibly stylish looking wheelchair and with the option of having over 30 individual measurements being taken, you'll have complete scope to create the perfect fit. The carbon fibre has vibration absorbing qualities which we found can dampen the impact of rolling on uneven surfaces - it really is a very smooth ride. The closest wheelchair we have in this class is the Progeo Noir 2.0. definitely worth a look if you're after something with a similar transport weight, although it does have a higher weight capacity, at 125kg. The carbon fibre Panthera X beats them all on transport weight (from 2.5kg) and the more affordable Krypton R is also worth a test drive.
