Power Base
The Quickie Q300 R Powerchair is designed to be a more compact option than the outdoor-focused Q500 R, but is still very capable outside. It features a 58 cm chassis - smaller than most powerchairs, although not as narrow as the more indoor-focused Q300 R Mini. It is a nimble performer, able to manoeuvre around indoors with ease - ideal for busy offices and small homes.
With an impressive amount of traction, the Q300 R has serious grip ride performance, particularly if upgraded to the large 14 inch drive wheels. A choice of batteries from 50 Ah up to 63 Ah allows for a maximum range of up to 20 miles on a single charge, and a top speed of 6 mph is available.
Sedeo Lite Seating
The fully configurable Sedeo Lite seating system features on the Q300 R. This includes options for the full suite of powered seating functions - lift, tilt, recline and elevating leg rests. Notably, it also comes with C-Me, allowing you to drive at walking pace while the seat is fully elevated; a feature not found on many equivalent powerchairs.
Sedeo Lite is available in a range of sizes, and with a vast array of options, including backrests, cushions, headrests, armrests, legrests and supports. It also easily accommodates third-party seating solutions, meaning we can use it alongside our full range of specialist seating options.
Appearance
A modern-looking powerchair, the Q300 R is more colourful than most other models in Quickie's Q-series range. It has five shroud colour options (yellow, red, purple, blue, black), and seven accent colours (white, silver, red, orange, green, blue and black), allowing you to personalise your powerchair to match your style.
Our Verdict
While more manoeuvrable mid-wheel drive powerchairs such as the Quickie Q300 M Mini or Q500 M remain the most popular, for those that prefer rear-wheel drive, the Q300 R is a good option. It's a step up from the Q200 R, which doesn't have the same powered seating options, but is much more compact than the outdoor-focused Q500 R. We would suggest considering it alongside the narrower Q300 R Mini, which is focused more on indoor manoeuvrability.
