Fully Welded Aluminium Frame
The Joker Energy features a fully welded aluminium frame, saving approximately 700g over the standard Joker by stripping out the adjustability. It's not just weight saved - welded joints lose less energy to unnecessary movements than bolted joints, meaning more of your energy is focused into propelling you forward, rather than wasted to movement in the frame. This combines to make the Joker Energy the ultimate aluminium framed wheelchair for experienced wheelchair users, who are less likely to need adjustability and who will really notice the difference in performance.
Customisation
The made-to-measure frame of each Joker Energy is built to the precise dimensions of its owner, matching your size and driving preferences. It can be personalised with a wide array of options, as you would expect on such a high-end wheelchair - everything from wheels to brakes, handrims to sideguards can be customised to meet your requirements.
Style
The sleek V-front frame and welded joins give the Joker Energy an understated elegance with clean lines that contrast with the sporty, aggressive looks of some other models. A combination of seven frame colours and nine accents let you design your Joker Energy to match your style, whether that be flashy fuschia or a more refined monochrome look.
Our Verdict
The Progeo Joker Energy Wheelchair is a really impressive wheelchair, but it does come with a high price tag. TiLite's welded titanium models such as the ZR come in significantly cheaper, and there are carbon fibre framed chairs available at similar costs, like Progeo's Duke and Quickie's Krypton R - although carbon frames can't normally have powered add-ons attached to them.
