With a powerpack, you don't need to worry about pushing any more - struggling with hills, ramps or uneven ground is a thing of the past. The Duo HD can travel at speeds of up to 4 mph, with a good 10 mile range on a single charge.

The hand control, battery and powerpack can be removed from your wheelchair for transport in a car, and no part is too heavy to lift.

Our Verdict

The Duo HD is only 0.5 kg heavier than the standard Duo powerpack - nonetheless, we would only recommend if for those close to, or above, the carry capacity of the Duo, where its extra power will count. If your budget can stretch further, then Sunrise's Empulse R20 is a revolutionary new powerpack which is ultra light, and can fold up with your wheelchair - no need to remove it; it also comes with an impressive 30 stone carry capacity.
