The Motion Healthcare Xcite Mobility Scooter is designed to offer comfort, control, and a smooth ride, ideal if you're looking for a top-tier, compact 8mph mobility scooter. This sleek, modern scooter is equipped with high-tech LED headlights, handlebar controls and is available in either aqua or bronze.

The all-round suspension and well-padded, contoured seat produce a very comfortable ride. The seat and tiller can be adjusted to suit your frame and there's plenty of leg room. A shopping basket in the front is a great practical addition to aid you on your daily travels. Anti-tip wheels provide enhanced safety, stability and confidence. The 5-year warranty further assures the lasting performance of the Xcite. 

The large 13" wheels combine with a ground clearance of 14cm to cope well with kerbs and slopes. The turning radius of 160cm compares well to other 8mph scooters yet the Xcite is robust and stable enough to handle most terrain. The twin 50 Ah batteries work with a 550 Watt motor to provide a good range of up to 25 miles on a single charge. Motion Healthcare also offer the Xcite Li which is capable of achieving a remarkable 45 mile range using lithium phosphate batteries. The Xcite Li and Xcite are built to the same specifications although the weight of the Xcite is heavier, at 103.8kg. This weight difference is worth consideration if portability is key to your needs. 

If storage space is a at premium, the tiller can be pulled down, the seat removed and there's a freewheel mode to manoeuvre the scooter backwards and forwards.

Modern Healthcare has produced a very stylish scooter with a competitive range and comfortable ride in the Xcite. It ticks a lot of boxes. We've been most impressed with the range and comfort levels. The 

 is a similarly stylish 8mph scooter but the 

 is the most logical comparable to the Xcite. Both feature large wheels and built-in suspension systems to ensure a comfortable and stable ride, even over rough terrain but the Xcite will take you further, and the Xcite Li even further still.

It's worth remembering the controls are the handlebars style rather than the delta tiller found on many scooters - people with limited dexterity may struggle to grip and hold them so make sure you try the scooter out first.
