We picked Pride Mobility's popular iGo Plus as our folding powerchair to hire out, as it has long been our most popular model. It folds easily in one smooth motion, reducing it to a compact size - ideal for those with limited storage space, or who want to travel with their powered wheelchair. It can also be wheeled around when folded, much like a trolley.

The iGo Plus weighs just 24 kg with the light Lithium Ion battery removed - this is normally something that an able bodied person can lift, but may be too heavy for an elderly or frail person to be able to lift by themselves.

Ideal for use both inside and out, the iGo Plus has front suspension and rear pneumatic tyres for a much more comfortable ride than usually experienced in folding powerchairs. This is further enhanced by the comfortably padded backrest and seat. A range of 9.6 miles on a single charge covers you for regular daily use, and the battery can be charged either on or off-board.
