Truly effortless convenience
The Klaxon range is notable for its central linking system, which allows you to attach the Klick Power Plus with just a click. Attachment and detachment happen in seconds with the patented central linking system. A lateral linking system is also available if your wheelchair is incompatible with the central linking system.
Portability comes easily as the handbike weighs only 10.6 kg. With the 16-inch wheel and 750 W motor, the Klick Power Plus effectively manoeuvres over uneven city terrains or hilly urban areas. Depending on your choice of battery, the handbike provides up to 9.3, 18.6 or 37.3 miles of range. The Klick Power Plus is a great option if you often travel around uneven urban environments.
Designed for a sleek user experience
The LCD provides travel information such as your speed, battery and remaining range. A USB port is located next to the LCD to charge your mobile devices. You can also brake electronically with a button on the handlebar and the electronic braking system integrated into the handbike. Using the electronic brakes will recharge a portion of your battery, allowing your journeys to last longer. Braking mechanically is also possible with the mechanical brake.
The Motor Direct Control creates a precise acceleration and braking experience for seamless handling. When going uphill or downhill, the Intelligent Speed Control features allow you to cruise at a set speed and reduce fatigue during your journeys. For added convenience, you can opt for the optional Hill Hold Control feature which secures the handbike in place when on slopes.
Safety features
The Klick Power Plus includes an anti-theft system to secure your handbike. When activated, will request a code to unlock the handbike. You will receive the code upon receiving your product.
Our Verdict
Overall, the Klaxon Klick Power Plus performs well in hilly or uneven urban environments with its 16-inch wheel and 750 W. Combining its 10.6 kg weight and central linking system, the Klick Power Plus is a portable and convenient solution.
The Rehasense PAWS City Handbike is a more economical option for users who want a handbike to travel through urban environments. With 12 or 14-inch wheels, the PAWS City handbike is more compact compared to the Power Plus and can manoeuvre through tighter spaces. The handbike can also be taken along your plane travels with the optional flight-friendly batteries. While PAWS handbikes are more affordable, users with a higher budget could opt for the Power Plus for its innovative features such as the patented linking system and the electronic braking system.
The Empulse StreetJet Handbike is another handbike with a 16-inch wheel with a 750 W motor. The StreetJet has a unique clamping system which leaves no brackets on your wheelchair. Its transport weight is only 11 kg, offering similar portability to the Klick Power Plus at a lower cost. There are also 20 different frame colour options which provides a greater level of customisation compared to the Klick Power Plus. However, the Klaxon handbikes do offer a more seamless user experience with its innovative features for users with a higher budget.
Taken together, the Klaxon Klick Power Plus stands out with its user-friendly features and the patented central linking system which are not found in other handbikes.
