The Invacare Action 2NG Wheelchair is essentially the same product as their prestigious Action 3NG, in a set configuration, rather than being a prescriptive "built to order" product. This means you can get an Invacare Action wheelchair at a lower price than normal, and much quicker than normal, albeit without the ability to customise it.

The Action range have long set the standard for good quality, reliable wheelchairs, which is why they are so prevalent in the NHS.

The Action 2 can be supplied either as a transit wheelchair with small wheels at the back to save weight for those who will only be pushed, or as a self-propelled one with large back wheels and handrims. This allows the wheelchair user to propel themselves around, and they can still be pushed thanks to the convenient push-handles. Anti-tips keep them safe and stable when self-propelling.

Unlike most "standard" wheelchairs, the Action 2NG has a good selection of seat sizes - with widths of 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19" available as standard, and an adjustable seat depth of 16 - 17". A smaller 13" seat width is available with inrigged armrests, at an additional cost. This gives you a much better fit than a "one (or two) size fits all" wheelchair.

All Action 2NG models have removable armrests to help with side transfers, black padded nylon upholstery, and come with an Anthracite Black frame. With their convenient folding frame and half-folding back, the Action 2 is easy to transport.

There are lighter wheelchairs on the market, such as Karma's 

, but for people who don't fit into a standard 16 or 18" seat width, or who want a highly reliable wheelchair, the Action 2 NG is a good choice.
