The British designed eFoldi Lite Mobility Scooter is the successor to the groundbreaking original eFoldi, and is even lighter and more impressive! The eFoldi Lite folds up easily in seconds to a neat wheeled suitcase shape, which allows it to be packed up into a car boot, or taken on public transport, coaches, cruises and planes. The Lite weighs just 15 kg, making it easy to lift - there is no other folding scooter this light, and with the Lithium-ion battery removed you can further reduce the weight to just 13 kg.
Despite its incredibly light chassis, the eFoldi Lite still offers some impressive performance, with a 4 mph top speed and 10 mile range. The three wheel design makes the Lite incredibly manoeuvrable, ideal for getting around shops and cafes. Good sized wheels and suspension integrated into the seating smooth out the ride, making your eFoldi comfortable to drive.
Our Verdict
There isn't another scooter as light as the eFoldi Lite - if you're after a scooter that offers the least amount of hassle to transport, this is it. Achieving this outstanding 15 kg weight does mean the Lite has a stripped back appearance, and it lacks some of the features like delta tillers and armrests found on other small scooters - however it is deceptively comfortable to drive. Its closest competitor is Motion Healthcare's mLite, which has a more traditional 4-wheel design, but is heavier at 17.8 kg.
