Ki Mobility Little Wave Arc Wheelchair

The new Little Wave Arc from Ki Mobility is the lightest paediatric folding tilt in space chair available. Stylish and modern, it is a fully configurable wheelchair able to provide comfortable and supportive seating that grows with your child.

Product Description

Light and Folding

Traditional tilt in space chairs feature chunky box frames in unattractive colours, are heavy, and require a specially adapted vehicle to transport. The Little Wave Arc is nothing of the sort. With an easy to fold backrest and frame, plus a transport weight of just 9.3 kg, it can easily be reduced to a compact size to fit in the back of almost every car. A rigid frame version is also available too, should you not require your Arc to fold.

Stylish and Colourful

A choice of funky frame colours allows you to express yourself, with two free frame colours, and optional designer spoke guards and coloured mag wheels. If you opt for Ki's Axiom seating, the backrest can be coloured to complement the frame, resulting in a stylish and modern looking product.

Tilt in Space

Yet the Arc remains a fully-functioning tilt in space chair, able to be adapted to support a wide range of seating and postural requirements. The 45° centre of gravity tilt provides ideal pressure relief and a more relaxed seating position. This can be operated by either a single hand lever or foot lever, which can be mounted on either side.

Seating and Growth

Ki Mobility's own Axiom seating is a popular choice with the Arc, and is available with a range of cushions, backrests and postural supports such as laterals and headrests. Numerous options are available, including a reclining backrest, elevating legrests, various armrests, harnesses and more. The end result is a seat bespoke built to fit your child in comfort, and which can be adapted over time as requirements change. Third-party seating systems, including moulded seating, can be fitted to the Arc if required.

Like other chairs in the Little Wave range, the Arc can grow with your child, ensuring it fits for years to come. Both seat width and depth are adjustable within a range, and a free growth kit is available to facilitate growing your Arc to fit.

Options

Every part of your Arc can be customised, with all sorts of functional options. These include the canopy, vent and battery box trays, and ergonomic height-adjustable push-handles. A selection of wheel sizes, ranging from transit 12" wheels up to self-propelled 20" wheels can be supplied. Transit brackets are available should you need to use the Arc for occupied transport in a car or minibus, and the wheelchair is fully crash-tested.

Our Verdict

The Ki Mobility Little Wave Arc Wheelchair is a modern, functional, stylish yet supportive chair that doesn't compromise in any way, and the only model that comes close is Progeo's Tekna Tilt 2.0 Junior. It's particularly suited for parents wanting a tilt in space chair for their child that will fit in a conventional car, and also look good.
